ABRACA (the Belgian Animation Federation) is seeking a Coordinator to strengthen its team and ensure continuity of its actions in the animation sector.
To encourage gender parity within the federation, this call specifically invites women and non-binary people who wish to get involved in structuring the sector.

We work collectively to strengthen animation’s place in cultural policies, support artists, and build bridges between practices, institutions, and generations.

Main responsibilities
The Coordinator will ensure day-to-day follow-up and the general coordination of the federation, in close collaboration with the Board of « Directors ».
They will not be required to sit on the Board, but will work under a clear mandate voted by it.
Key tasks include:
- Coordinating and organising board meetings and working groups
- Administrative follow-up and email correspondence (members, partners, institutions)
- Support for treasury, secretariat, and the newsletter
- Participating in official meetings
- Monitoring and researching funding opportunities and follow-up
- Preparing an annual planning and overall action tracking
- Occasional representation of ABRACA within the sector (cultural advocacy, meetings, events)
Profile:
- Experience or strong interest in cultural policy and the animation/audiovisual sector
- Ability to structure, communicate, facilitate a small team and maintain a shared agenda
- Solid administrative and writing skills
- Good understanding of non-profit/association operations
- Good knowledge of French, Dutch and English
- In-person presence in Brussels at least once a month
- Collaborative mindset, strong follow-through and organisational skills
Terms:
- Consultancy contract / mandate voted by the Board
- 1 day per week, approx. 52 days/year
- Compensation: €130 gross/day
- Start date: as soon as possible (end of 2025), with onboarding ahead of the next General Assembly
